How I work

I like making the page, the API behind it, and putting both somewhere real. Most of my stuff runs on a Proxmox box at home. Fixing it at 2am taught me more than any tutorial.

Day to day I write TypeScript and PHP, and read a lot of logs.

Client sites and capstone work: online stores, event pages, business sites, and technical support for capstone projects, including system design, databases, and deployment. Deadlines are real even when the budget is funny.

THE TOOLBOX

~/web

Most days I'm in a React or Next.js frontend, styling with Tailwind. SmartStudy's interactive bits use Alpine.js, because sometimes a sprinkle is enough.

~/backend

PHP APIs with logins, MySQL underneath. Python handles the boring scripts nobody wants to write twice.

~/servers

Code gets deployed, Docker runs the app, Nginx handles routing, and Cloudflare gets traffic where it needs to go. Nothing listens on a public port.

~/homelab

This is where I test things before pretending I know them. One Proxmox box, Ubuntu VMs, containers I break on purpose. This site runs on it.
